G. Todd Withy currently practices law in Honolulu, Hawaii, specializing in employment law matters, including discrimination and civil rights violations both for individuals and on a class-wide basis. He has represented plaintiffs in class actions against large employers including Safeway Stores, Sealand Services, and the Oakland East Bay Municipal District.
Mr. Withy has also previously served as Deputy Executive Director of the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission, with his main duty as Chief of the Enforcement Division. He has also served as a mediator both at the Commission and in private practice and is committed to using that to solve employment cases wherever possible.
He graduated with a BA from Harvard University and received his JD degree from Columbia University School of Law, where he published one of the first articles on the early implementation of the Civil Rights Act, "Title VII, Civil Rights Act of 1964, Present Operation and Proposals for Improvement" for the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems, April 1969.
